No, the issue at stake is how to achieve justice at a societal level. Whatever moral issue there may be is folded into that problem. Heinous criminality is outside or beyond the moral relationship of humanity.

Another example of society suffering from a failed justice system, that is trying to accommodate heinous criminals. Why do you think we should suffer them even one day further, once they have crossed that line even one time?
