On the other hand, he didn't say if his going to go "long" or "short" with $1billion. :-)

Good Point!

From WSJ:

Role for Soros

In a news conference Monday, U.S. financier George Soros said he would send a team of experts to look into investment prospects in Korea. Mr. Soros, who said he was an "informal adviser" to the president-elect, said the country needed "equity expansion" rather than more borrowings.

"I might invest in company shares," Mr. Soros said, adding, "I might want to invest in public corporations that have been privatized." Messrs. Kim and Soros met Sunday to discuss ways of boosting investment in Korea. Another prominent U.S. investor, Sir John Templeton, has also started investing in a number of Korean stock vehicles.

Pretty wishy-washy. He might do this, he might do that. He might have poached salmon for dinner. Some people might say that having Soros as your "informal advisor" would be like having the devil as your guardian angel.
