The Kim regime has heard "no" multiple times and have ignored this response every time, sometimes after a small delay for the sense of propriety.

Kin Jung-un is very similar to Tea Party Congressmen. Trump tells them "no you can't do that", and they laugh at him.

Making empty threats drains you of all credibility. Trump has told China he's willing to overpay for what ever little help they can offer - so probably not trade adjustment deal.

If US aircraft carriers return to America leaving things the way they are, who will ever pay attention to Trump in the future. Yet Trump ordered the carriers to the Korean Peninsula at the same time he asked the US military for options. Sensible people would have waited to read the available options and decide what you're willing to do before you issue the threat.

If Trump isn't presented with good options, he will need to back down or choose bad options. It's a dumb and reckless negotiating technique. It's sad.

re <<Why are you sure SK will back away ?>>

much of sk gdp-generation is w/i normal artillery distance of nk

and in concerted attack precision choreographed onslaught, irrespective of defence, sk capital would fall w/i a matter of hours

in such a scenario, a nuke can be trucked and permanently installed

the problem w/ dealing w/ a mad1 is that there is no win except one sure-blow decapitation, and that opportunity is rare, success uncertain, not to be tried unless and until all ways exhausted

right now the one way never tried is usa-nk direct dialogue, so until that is tried, all last-resort options off of the table, and pretty much all knows it except the usa msm
