Medical clinics include a broad range of outpatient facilities where where doctors or other medical personnel provide diagnosis and treatment of non-emergency illnesses and injuries. If you go to see a doctor, unless you've gone to an emergency room or are already an inpatient at a hospital, you're seeing the doctor in a clinical setting. Hospitals and Emergency Rooms aren't clinics, although clinics are sometimes located within or adjacent to hospitals.
