Medical clinics include a broad range of outpatient facilities where where doctors or other medical personnel provide diagnosis and treatment of non-emergency illnesses and injuries.

If you go to see a doctor, unless you've gone to an emergency room or are already an inpatient at a hospital, you're seeing the doctor in a clinical setting.

Hospitals and Emergency Rooms aren't clinics, although clinics are sometimes located within or adjacent to hospitals.

In my immediate area, there are at least 4 walk in clinics available, 3 of them owned and operated by the large med groups and the 4th by an orthopedic group.....There are also 2-3 walk-in clinics that are independent of the med groups...
