Ceebs: Thanks for the link. I have felt from the begining that C3 would do things in a first class manner and their selection of PR and advertising companies reinforces that opinion. C3 is going to be hotter than a $5 pistol. I dropped by George Tromp's Diamond thread to ask what they thought of C3's prospects and the following response was of some interest. I think diamond prices will be significantly impacted once C3 is rolling. To: Leslie S. Feinberg (112 ) From: George J. IMO synthetics will never gain market share in the market place to natural stones. I have a factory about 30 miles from where I live., it too produces the so called gem quality syntthetic stones.. There great to look at and are cheap price wise. However., just do a straw survey. Go out and ask your nieces and nephews., aunts., uncles., what kind of stones were purchased recently in their lives. I did such a survey recently., you know what. The answer was Diamonds natural the bigger the better. That mentality still exists. Simply put who in their right mind would cheapen an event such as a marriage., special event such as anniversarys., graduations and the like. The whole jeweler network is setup to enable one to trade up to larger stones. Loose diamonds may not be the investment they were back in the 70s but my view is that the mines are here to stay. It is the culture of the world to prefer natural diamonds over synthetics., The scariest factor is whether unscruptulous jewlers substitue these stones for the naturals and sell them under those pretenses. Hopefully the certifications will discoourage the practice. Frankly the very act of accepting these stones as valid substitutes is a travesty to the spirit of mankind., and the legacy of mining families and communities world wide who have sweated and toiled in the mines risking their lives to bring these treasures to market. George After my ranting I dont think they have a competive chance at 500 /carat to impact world markets. Later; Les
