The left doesn't mind right of center candidates as long as they are Democrats and follow the Democratic line.

The Republicans beat us because they work together and split up up, like in 2000 with Nader and 2016 with Stein.

But I asked about ideas.

What moderate ideas do you find better than liberal ideas?

<<"Try and think of a single thing that the middle wants to do that the left would have objection to,"
Vote for right-of-center candidates.

If one looks at the history of the human species, they will see that virtually all of the pain and suffering and problems throughout recorded history going back 12 or 15,000 years has been the result of ignorance.

Virtually every problem the human species incurs can be traced back to ignorance. Civilization itself is founded on education. And the majority of the problem of ignorance are the people and political systems, like the church, or right wing who prevent education e.g. . the people who believe that willful ignorance is okay, or romanticize ignorance.

The election of Trump and his policies is the perfect example of what ignorance spawns. Trump said he loves the uneducated and they love him.

Ignorance is no more romantic than poverty. It is important to be polite to ignorant people for purposes of their well being, and social order. But we should never romanticize ignorance any more than we should romanticized poverty. That is not good for the individual and it is not good for society. People should be encouraged to get as educated as they can.

We have to get over this idea that education is elitist. We should encourage people to get as educated as they can for their own welfare. Liberal arts education being unimportant is a right wing talking point that has done so much damage in this country and put us so far behind most of the rest of the Western democracies in terms of our intellectual attainment and attendant quality of life for the individual and our social system.

And the election of Trump and what he is doing that will cause so much pain and suffering is the perfect metaphor for the danger of ignorance. The uneducated could not see how dangerous Trump was.
