The rule of law, written or oral, is not a Greek concept. Written law is uneducated Babylonian. My tribe of ignorant migratory agrarians had oral law and a code of ethics before Greece existed. When they figured out how to write, they put them in the Torah, where you can still see them, accompanied by the obligatory myths.
