I was banned from that board for asking why the poster only highlighted the negative aspects of those human achievements. These "progressives" would rather go back to the time before hydroelectric power and burn oil lamps? They'd rather leave crops at the mercy of pests and soil depletion? They think educated Europeans committed genocide on the native populations, when native diseases could just as well have wiped out the Europeans. Is lung cancer a disease passed from native inhabitant's deadly crop called tobacco, and its addictive habit, to the Europeans?
