I think the marching helps to energize the march to the ballot box. There's a lot of bonding that goes on at those marches- and a lot of connections are made between organizers.

And the PR aspect is important as well- to keep democrats feeling energized and hopeful. And to enfeeble and demoralize the idiots of the right- and to highlight their neverending series of fails.

A week after the first marches, hundred, or thousands even, turned out at airports to stop the Muslim ban. My reps say the energy from the streets inspires them.
