Tom,

First at all, what's the reward/risk ratio of ATML at current price right now ?. My opinion is about 4 pt downside. If the Q1 earning is matched what the company said, it should be 0.35c or above. I believe it will hit hard in the morning. Possible opening at 17 3/4 and then drop down to 17. If can come back at close above 18, it is a good sign because all the bad news are out and the current stock price has already counted the bad news. Shorting the stock right now may be good to get 2 to 3 pts profit. For me (the loser right now), the only way to do is to wait the after the fact rally.

regards

daniel

CNBC just said it should open $4.00 lower tomorrow at the open.

So much for no news is good news.

I have just taken my standing eight count!!1..2..3..

What should one do now? Buy when it's at it's worst?

thats happened 3 or 4 times this year...What do you think the
bottom might be? Anyone dare to speculate?

still dizzy....

To everyone:
If ATML is able to collect on some of the receivables written off
will the collections be treated as a non-recurring item ? I am surprised that there is (it appears) a large inventory write off given that ATML
has recently transitioned to a new line of products and the b/b
ratio suggests that there is good demand for the products. Your comments please. Finally, does the reduction in capital expenditures for 1998 indicate that the new plant in Asia will not be built ?
