Well said.

Education needs to be part of the overall social fabric. Which it is in Japan, South Korea, and much of asia.

Why they excel.

I have spent time in areas of the nation where education is laughed at!

<<Lots of things would have to change. The Finns have much smaller schools. Teachers usually know every student. Finnish teachers are paid more compared to the average income. There is only one standardized test. Parents get a monthly payment per child. There is also a stronger safety net so the parents can provide a better homelife.

Just to mention a few things. Education is not something stand alone. It is, or should be, a part of the overall social fabric.
