I said we should listen to guys like Stiglitz and Krugman, and that I had no idea~

Well, you can't do it as of right now as there really are no competent models for the entire American economy.
But it is important to keep in mind we really don't know what "optimal" means for the Laffer curve, but it certainly isn't just a matter of finding a local maximum.
