Judith Curry apparently was commenting on that one remark which was clearly not correct.

However, there is not a "climate scientist" out there anyway who hasn't made pretty stupid remarks at times (See: Michael Mann).

At any rate, it doesn't make him "completely wrong".

What IS completely wrong is attack the scientist instead of the science. And when you're criticizing the person's background, you are essentially admitting you can't competently criticize the science.

If you have personal attacks, level them. But don't get the idea that in some way supports the science.

One thing matters. Not your degrees. Not your articles, Not your university. None of that shit matters one bit. What matters is the science.

This guy can teach you something. I thought surely I posted this to you before.
