Wow- how did I miss that? :-) Jet lag and being busy, I guess. Taking my daughter out to the Asian art museum today. They have a sweet gold membership for teachers available- if any of you live in the bay area and have a teacher in the family- they might want to check this out. 4 free tickets as many times as you want to go in a year (what a great place to go with friends and family, right?) AND you get reciprocal priveileges (2 tickets) at 100's of museums in the US and the rest of the world (including tickets to the De Young and the Legion of Honor). Even more fun, you get to book one on one time with a curator to evaluate your Asian heirlooms. Since my great grandmother collected some Asian heirlooms, or inherited them from somewhere, I am definitely going to do this- because I've no idea what I've got, and I would like to know. It's your own, personal, antiques roadshow, without the line :-) You have to prove you are actively teaching by bringing your badge when you pick up your card and first tickets.
