Update on the original 6 in the NHL: Detroit: abysmal, pathetic Montreal and NYR: Lot of hype, but all they offer is heartbreak hotel for their fans. Chicago: in the early stages of crash back down to earth like stocks later this year. Boston: snuck into the playoffs only because Garth Snow, the Isles GM, is the biggest clown that ever lived. Toronto: the only possible bright spot here. Mathews is headed for stardom. But the team has to learn to suck it up and win OT playoff games. The Caps were there for the taking.
