"When people can't afford to buy stuff, they start buying pre-owned stuff. I think we've been stuff-conditioned by 70 years of TV commercials." Our whole economy relies on people buying stuff on credit. One could argue much of our economy is a sham as a result. Society built on the need for immediate gratification using debt. One of the reasons I wish they would have raised the interest rates years ago. As soon as American youth graduate high school the banks are trying to give them credit cards.
