No it isn't.

1 - I said "X shouldn't be the goal", not "Y said X shouldn't be the goal and here is why he's wrong". I made an assertion, backed up by argument about my own opinion, not a claim that someone else had the opposite opinion.

2 - Also in this conversation it was suggested that the revenue maximizing rate was the correct rate, so even if I had been making a claim about other people's opinion (as I am in this statement but not in that last post) I would still be correct and not attacking a strawman.

"I think everyone (but koan) accepts that. It's the 'Laffer Curve' argument, but it's really just common sense pricing theory. To high is bad, too low is bad, there's a sweet spot where it's just right and income is maximized."
