The concept of ethics isn't a market phenomenon. It also isn't a democratic phenomenon. It is rather something that you would hope people would apply to their political and economic actions (and other actions as well but that's outside the scope of this discussion). Humans must plan their lives and societies, not markets for Christ's sale-lol! Markets are people planning (the economic part) of their own lives. Not allowing for free markets, or heavily restricting them is removing that ability from people.
