Any loss of life is regrettable. Fortunately my military experience provided me with the all the skills needed to burn a flag without putting myself or anyone else at risk. Unless, of course, someone tries to interfere with me while I am taking part in an activity which has been specifically recognized by the Supreme Court as being one of my many, treasured constitutional rights. In that case, I would stand my ground in defense of my rights, and someone could get hurt, depending on the nature of their interference. I'm generally OK with people verbally attacking me, but any attempt at physical assault will be met with whatever response is needed to neutralize the assault. FYI as a veteran trained to use deadly force, I don't do bike locks or sticks. If you'd like to join me in celebrating my constitutional rights the next time I burn a flag, let me know, I'll send you an invitation.
