Re: PMA

>>IOM also has the premier position at the entrance to the exhibits.<<

Iomega is trying desperately to come up with OEM's for their Vapor! 40 MB drive. So far, no company has agreed to buy Vapor! and include it in their machines. It has been disappointing enough so that Iomega has had to resort to going to a convention expressly for photograhy to try and drum up some kind of business for it.

It's kind of pathetic if you think about it.

>>Cheap 40 MG 2x2 disks & drives are on the way into all sorts of products including cameras.<<

The drives are $200. The discs are $10. All For only 40MB

This is not cheap. This is a ripoff.

David -

Thanks for bringing that link up again, David. You're right. It certainly seems significant that Iomega is buying a large space in a show for photography manufacturers. On the other hand, it could be just optimism on their part.

I guess the only reason I didn't comment on it is because there were certain elements on the thread distracting me. (All the more reason to try to keep the thread more on track. Thank you, Gary Wisdom!)

Oh, by the way, I didn't mean to give Vaughn a hard time. I just wanted him to explain his post.
