Penny stocks, as I'm sure you know, are like carnival games-- they look easy and legit, but are stacked heavily against you. The misconception on penny stocks is that while it is true that not all penny stocks are scam companies, it's the non scam companies that can actually be the worse ones to invest in. That's because almost all penny stocks are reverse mergers. The last I checked, there are very few sources for these shells. These guys are pros at hiding shares and manipulating share prices. The cheaper the shell, the more shares the prior owner retains, hence the worse they can manipulate the stock price. Kinda like inspecting every square inch of your new construction house before you buy, then the moment it rains it gets swallowed in a sink hole.
