Of the stocks Jenna listed as merger candidates, the best candiataes (ie, ones that are safe for near term growth as well) are:

DEC, ATI, DGN, ESTI, GZTC, HPH, KRI, PC, TXB, VNTV

Additionally, PCQuote (PQT) is an excellent candidate, although its much cheaper (at about a buck) than the $10-$90 tickers listed above.

Last - which service do you trade thru? do they give you a discount on your trades such as the 20000 shares of SALV.. my broker would rape me on such a trade so I've held off on these sort of trades, because of the commission, although many times I wanted to.
