irby-

I mostly stick to tech stocks(NASDAQ) but I don't have a "system" as yet. I look for good volume (after learning about how one can get stuck in an illiquid stock!) and try to find one that I think can move one point. Then I jump in with 1000 shares and try to make my 1K. I also will watch a stock to see how it is acting, whether it is moving in a predictable pattern. Of course, this is somewhat subjective, as I may see something someone else may not. I also don't trade that much, probably a few trades a week. I was in KLAC this AM for an hour or so, out with my 1 point, but I didn't trade anything yesterday. I pass a lot of trades up, because I don't feel I know enough about the stock to make a good call. Also, I have made more on shorts than longs, this market seems so nervous (or I'm nervous!)that prices drop more quickly and farther than they rise.
Thanks for a great thread.
