I did not see any earnings pre-announcement in today's press release. Why not?

Frank, It is always a pleasure to talk to you. Happy New Year. You intended to correct some misinformation I posted the other night! Let's look at those together.

From my post-- "The market knows that: 1) S3 has lost making money and it will loose more money for next two quarters minimum"

From your post--" I disagree with the 2 Q minimum guess, mobile products are selling above expections, we may or may not lose money the next Q or two. The jury is still out"

You are saying the same thing: "S3 may or may not lose money" . However, the overall market and S3's specific problem indicate the cold water ahead. How about if I tell you INTC could easily reach $ 35.00 a share!!! Good earning is not on sight for many semi's and computers companies.

From my post-- "all these cash can be evaporated quickly"

From your post -- "Don't count on it, have you met Walt yet???"

No frank, have you? Enlight us! I posted long time ago that I met George Harvey and I never liked him. To me he appeared a crook and I posted before that I was happy to see him leave this company and on last annual meeting (fiberman was there too), I was shocked how Terry Holdt who I spoke to tried to back his previous CFO!!! I am upset with Terry Holdt! I was so in fond of this company. To me, three years ago, this was a trusted, respected, well managed company! I expect them to be honest. Frank, I also hope Walter changes the overall fundamental nature of this company.

From my post: "S3 has to pay money to CRUS"

From your post: "Mike can you point out to me where this is a fact?????? Personally, I believe the only money S3 will ever pay to crus will be for their graphic division, that not exactly true but I won't comment further."

Please refer to the news regarding INTC, S3, and CRUS graphic law suit.

From my post: " law suits will cost S3 some $"

From your post: "$250,000 max. that not much."

I hope you are right--I am hoping that would be the max. out of S3 and I also hope the remaining $$$$ would come out of .... Gearge Harvey and the others at the top level private account.

Stay in Touch!

Regards,

MBrad

Hi there, was just lurking this thread and noticed your reference to $250K max as lawsuit expenses. Very doubtful. Assuming you're discussing these stockholder suits, S3 will get high powered outside counsel. This will cost them a fortune because, in these large lawfirms, it takes 2-3 lawyers at very high hourly rates to accomplish the same thing as we not so hoity-toity lawyers can accomplish in half the time. That's because these mega-firms have high overhead and therefore need to bill the hell out of a file to keep afloat. S3 will hire such a firm because the cosmetics and politics of the situation dictates it. Added to lawyer fees are expert fees, which will be just as high. IMHO, S3 would be lucky to hold expenses at $1million. Of course, I've been wrong before.
