Alan, Haven't there been volumes of discussion on this thread regarding various assay methods as applied to the dirt at BR, and regarding how it is that most can give erroneous numbers (often zero, sometimes high) because of interferrence? My recollection is that the concensus was that neutron activation gave the best hope of accurate results; although, I don't think the issue was ever settled.

That aside, has IPM abandoned fire assay? I don't see the words "fire assay" anywhere in the PR. But then, I don't see any mention of Lycopodium either. Also missing is the term, "COC".
