<Intel just signed up Platinum for LANDesk, that will take away the corporate PC help desk business from SystemSoft.>

Won't SystemWizard work in tandem with help desk support? A Nov 97 SYSF press release suggested this was the case:

"The technology SystemSoft is demonstrating today can help streamline the troubleshooting process for both OEM support centers and internal corporate help desks alike," said Will Swope, vice president Desktop Products Group, Intel Corporation. "That can translate into faster technical support calls, shorter call queues and greater customer satisfaction, all important to Intel's vision of highly manageable systems."

SystemWizardT technical support software will support the Service Incident Standard (SIS)and the Solution Exchange Standard (SES) proposed by the Customer Support Consortium (CSC) and Desktop Management Task Force (DMTF). The prototype SystemWizard, with the first industry-standard electronic trouble ticket, is being demonstrated this week at COMDEX/Fall '97.

The demonstration illustrates how SystemWizard will be able to share problem-related information and standard trouble tickets with help desk providers such as ServiceSoft Corp., Vantive Corp. (NASDAQ:VNTV), Remedy Corp. (NASDAQ:RMDY), and Inference Corp. (NASDAQ:INFR). All of these companies plan to work together on help desk applications that adhere to this standard.

Mike, glad to see your post. I was asked by someone to research the company. I scratched the surface and found a couple of things that make me leary, but could most likely be explained. As you know, my personal views on a company is that they are only as good as their management. You said something that really makes me leary going into researching SYSF.....<<<I don't trust the management of this company. Too many broken promises.>>> This isnt the first time that I have heard this line Mike. Its actually the third, though I must admit, since I know you, it has substantially more merit.

Still looking Mike, I havent invested anything in them yet, and really do not know if I will in the future. I must say, I have had some interesting reading so far. Thanks much for your post.

Also thanks for the other posts. I still am quite interested in opinions on the company, and would love to hear more.

Sam
