While this board is primarily about WDC, I don't mind some discussion of companies that are related to NAND, NVM, storage software in all of its flavors, futuristic speculations about memory and storage, etc. I say as much in the Introduction to the topic:
.... This forum will talk about everything related to WDC's many product lines, as well as things that might cannibalize those businesses [e.g., NVM, Xpoint, ReRAM and other futuristic inventions]. Which includes a lot of topics.
That said, I don't want to thread to be hijacked by someone pumping his favorite stock. I'm not certain how to formulate a rule that makes the difference between those things clear and explicit. I am open to suggestions on that, so if anyone has ideas about it, please speak up.

Until we can create that sort of rule, it will be up to my personal judgement. If a poster doesn't like my judgement, you can appeal it, but please do so via PM so that the board doesn't get cluttered.

Thanks.

Hello all,

thought I would revisit this nearly 4-yrs old Off Topic subject. NVMI is still busy making tools that inspect and validate all sorts of small things like Cpu & Memory (Nand & Dram).

Stock Price was 24$ (May 2017) then, it just reached 80$.

It was then mostly into CPUs, now equally CPU/Memory. The more advanced the process, the more NVMI tools you need.

If you want exposure to memory without having to pick your favorite vendor, you can have a look at it.

PS : this really is not about pumping, I am very sure this won't make any kind of difference. I owned 200 shares back then, sold 100 around 50, still have 100, I'm a very small fish. But I made money and got knowledge thanks to these SI boards, that's all, thanks to all the posters
