Jozef - Re: "Intel forces boxmakers to run Intel commercials."

Does Intel break their legs, bomb their factories or refuse to sell them chips if they don't advertise Intel?

Where do you get these cockamamy ideas that Intel "Forces" customers?

Do you have proof, affidavits, tape recordings, court records or are you just jealous and making it all up?

Jozef, re: "If all the boxmakers pay the price X for a chip, and they all get refund Y for running the commercial they end up paying price Z = X - Y."

Cooperative advertising is standard procedure throughout almost all industries that sell into the retail consumer market. It is one of the things the DOJ is reported to be investigating, which shows their lack of understanding of business practices.

Intel reimburses boxmakers for running commercials using Intel processors. I have never read that Intel pays for the entire cost of the commercial, though.

How is this any different than a cerial box maker offering a coupon to its customers? If the customer "chooses" not to use the coupon, are they being "forced" to pay the higher price?
