Hi Jim,

Actv has never had a strong buy. Someone has upgraded, maybe Crut Roth.

Hi Jim,

The things I learn when I get to digging...

>>I saw the mention of strong buy thru dailystocks.com and the I/B/E/S link. This may be old or
inaccurate information<<

The IBES reports evidently come in two forms:

IBES text and IBES "broker" text

In this case the IBES text is the one reflected in your URL:

quicken.excite.com

and it reflects the "strong buy" rating given by Neidiger-Tucker on February 13, 1997.

On the other hand, the IBES "broker" text reflects the fact that there are three buy ratings out there for IATV (which is what I got when I said that I couldn't confirm your finding).

But no matter how it's cut, the recommendations look good for IATV.

FWIW, I agree with the general analysis put forth on the thread regarding the likelihood of preferred selling influencing the current market in IATV. I also agree with Art's analysis of the strength of the higher price point buying (for reasons based on volume).

Good luck everyone. The market still looks ugly,

Ed
