Utter nonsense. As Donald J Trump is belatedly discovering, the United States is a nation of laws. Laws, checks and balances which even impede even a nitwit President who hides his incompetence from himself with a pathological level of arrogance and petty malice toward others. Trump has hijacked the Republican Party and is taking them on a long dark ride they're going to badly regret - but they have a long history of getting hijacked by unprincipled populists, ends justify the means and all that - dumb ethics, or lack there of.

Trump is a shark that needs to keep swimming in attention order to breath but he's trapped in a world of boundaries only he and his associates were blind to. If he can't get attention is a productive way, he get's attention in a self-harming way as he made plainly clear in his interview with Lester Holt. The man simply doesn't know when to shut his mouth, because he thinks he's miraculously smarter than everybody else - which is his personal delusion.

The boundaries Trump is now experiencing are exactly the sort of boundaries he desperately needed when he was young and an out of control idiot like Conrad Hilton. The military school probably stopped Trump from overdosing or dying in a reckless act, or slowly by alcoholism like his brother, but it wasn't enough to make him back into an undamaged person. When your grandfather made the family rich by being a pimp, that's not a healthy normal family. That kind of environment damages people deeply and he's really twisted and he associates with other twisted people. Normal people quickly find that type of kink unpleasant and leave. The people who stay are victims programmed for abuse or fellow twisted kinks.

People with influence can insulate themselves from many consequences, like Conrad Hilton's parent's have been foolishly doing. But in America everyone is in theory subject to the same laws and consequences. We all know from experience that the top wealthy and influential 6% are more insulated.

But in China this is made explicit. The 6% who are members of the communist party are exempt from all Chinese law and subject only to party discipline. They are only subject to normal laws if the communist party decides they should be.

You might argue party discipline can be more severe than the laws other Chinese citizens are subject to, but we both know it's usually far less severe because other party members don't want things to be too severe if they were to be on the other side, and everyone old enough lived through the Great Leap Forwards, just as Russians of a certain age live through Stalin's insane and random purges.

My Grandfather's half-sister lived a life in Russia as one of these more-equal-than-others, so the concept applies in Russia, just as it does in China. If she hadn't died of extreme old age I wonder how she would have fared as the rules in Russia changed? She'd probably have been fine as she was pretty smart.

I'm sure this is what makes the Chinese television program "In the Name of the People" the top-rated program. The activities and problems which take place in the secret leadership world of China which has always been hidden from and unaccountable to the 98% in China who don't share in that power.

People are people. People in China are not different from people in America. But China has a different system and the leadership 6% in China are far less transparent and accountable to the 94% than they are in America and everyone who's sensible knows that. You yourself have extolled the virtues provided by their lack of accountability and transparency. The advantage is no one can say no to a party project. The downside is no one can say no to a party project.

The US hasn't been my country for decades, mostly due to the heavily biased educational system.
