Recent increases in the price of memory at the retail level might be simply due to the end of the year/Xmas selling period. There was a Comp USA ad that had a 1-day sale of 16MB of DRAM for FREE - the rebate was the same as the price. This was a loss-leader of course. It's the prices from AICE that matter more IMO>
