Hi Chip,

The 14th is only a target for the ulimate time for this cycle to end. If the market is stronger, it can continue for days longer. If the market is weaker, then the cycle will end sooner. The NAZ failed to reach the midline and sold off. If we go lower today, I would wait for a bottom. Simply bisect the most recent rally and draw a line from the previous highs. The fork is not a channel or a trend line tool, it is use for finding tops and bottoms of trading cycles.

I don't know where the market is going and, in fact, my trading success depends upon my remembering that I don't know.

But, if the S&P closes above 990 with some ooomph, we are in for the mother of all rallies...Pete
