BTW: J.P. Morgan really did say "If you must forcast, forcast often." The idea is very popular in today's press, where no matter what happens over the next year, someone will take lots of credit and rack up even more appearance $$. Morgan knew the "noise" when he heard it.

As for my own predictions, I prefer the attitude of the old Hall of Fame quarterback Bobby Layne, who said: "I never lost a game, I jest ran outta time."
