It was open and naked obstruction. Example: We KNOW Flynn violated FARA, failed to report foreign payments when his security clearance was renewed last year. Both crimes under investigation. Furthermore he probably lied to the FBI and may have committed other crimes. Firing the guy in charge of the investigation, explicitly saying he's being fired because of the investigation ... that's de jure obstruction. Doesn't matter if Trump were never directly implicated. Though he likely will be.
