Trump's non-Secret Service bodyguard revealed Mattis's private cell number:

Call Me Maybe? Trump Bodyguard Exposes Mad Dog Mattis’s Private Number

Posted at 7:15 pm on May 15, 2017 by Andrea Ruth

[ While the President has Secret Service protection, the closest security people to him are his PRIVATE security guards. My take is the Secret Service are federal LEO's and criminals don't like them close enough to overhear them. ]

Secretary of Defense James “Mad Dog” Mattis might’ve received a higher call volume last Friday…or not. A reader of The Washington Post alerted the newspaper that it had inadvertently published a photo with the SecDef’s number clearly written.

This kind of thing simply shouldn’t happen.

Mattis’s cell number has hopefully been changed by now, but the hassle shouldn’t have been gone through in the first place. As Washington Post reporter Rachel Manteuffel noted, “This is not normal.”
