No, probably Linux of some sort, which I have run numerous times including on my old dual-boot laptop. I've always been partial to setting up my own computers, from motherboard on up. Can't do with the Macs.

I have built multiple models of them over the years. Maybe a good option and challenge for you.

Sadly Apple has turned their back on heavy Apple computer users and seems the Phone is there only interest.

Also Windows 10 is very usable stable and dependable. Give it a try, anything you might consider hidden is easily found with various shortcuts provided online.
