New York Community Bancorp, Inc. (NYCB) - at 4 year low @ $12.73/share (-2.15%)

Still holding off on my small Buy waiting for one more day of sell off. If you believe their Book Value, the Graham Number valuation is $15.23/share (or 19.35% undervalued from the current market price ). Dividend yield now 5.18% (just went xdiv 5/4). No rush for next dividend, but now on my Buy list

FWIW, I did a small add today for Enbridge Inc. (ENB) @ $39.10/share to square up my position after the SE merger. Dividend only 4.5% but they do hold some very nice assets and no K1, just qualified dividends.

My issue w/ all the banks, it's hard to believe their stated BV. That works big into the GN valuation model so it's hard to use that as a true figure for fair value.

EKS

yeah, I think I've been in TRVB for 3 years now. Nothing to write home about but it has managed to creep up slowly as opposed to the opposite.

I think they did some re-cap / offering awhile back at .60 cents - but dont quote me.

I just looked at the numbers on BankNet and to be honest ... if my calculations are correct I'm seeing a book value of around .50 cents -- so maybe not a value here. Also, earnings were a paltry $239k on the quarter.

I really dont look close at these until I get the stuff in the mail.. even then I'm finding banks difficult to interpret.

If I make money with them I think its more luck than financial savvy.

Believe it or not their call report and earnings have been out for about a month and half and I'm just getting around to looking at them.

TRI-VALLEY BANK ANNOUNCES SECOND QUARTER 2017 EARNINGS AND REVERSAL OF DEFERRED TAX ASSET VALUATION ALLOWANCE

Not bad. Trading over book but looks to have potential for strong growth given the location.

Added 2k shares here at .70

TRVB - buyout

not much of a premium over shares I held (sold at .78)

now how HTBK on watch.

I once had a penny bank get bought out for LESS than I paid for shares.
