First, the message from John Hull was in response to an ad for a computer with competitive chip that showed the Pentium logo, not kosher with co-op.

Second, I've worked for many different companies that sold into retail, EACH AND EVERY ONE had a cooperative advertising program. This is standard business practice, believe me it's been around far longer than Intel has. Also note the AMD logo on ads that feature computers with an AMD cpu, I am certain that these are also eligable for cooperative funds from AMD.

You are getting very worked up over something you know nothing about.
