David and others: the margin issue is legit, and one i have considered at length. The price drop on the x2 internal windows modems, however, did not come until the end of the quarter, and in my mind is an attempt to clear the channel for the ITU standard modems coming up as well as get awareness. But frankly speaking, they don't sell all that many windows products to begin with...so consider it a little dumping to get some share and awareness. key for their profits -- and I personally think they will have some -- will be the mac os8 bundles which have been selling very well, and the mac internal/external units, which, based on my monitoring of the ingram and insight web sites, have been going very well too. In addition, factor in the traditional FaxWorks bundles, and the 6500 deal...and the fact that the G3 desktops/minitowers on the apple web site have 56Kflex modems as options -- and the fact that Apple has been more than marginally successful in selling them -- and I think we will do ok. The PC cards are still priced very well, both mac and windows versions, and they are selling at a decent clip.

All in all -- the margin issue is also mitigated by the fact that GVIL has brought its sales and administration expenses down from the double digits per quarter to around just $4 mil the last two quarters. That leaves SIGNIFICANT room for price reductions and still getting a profit.

I am optimistic...as usual. Just my opinion.
