tdfx does 3d graphics for high end only pc (for now)? They are supposed to earn 0.50 by end of 98. Competitors couold be ati, nvidia, s3, trident, etc. PC market is going in direction of sub1000pc (not high end)with margin sueeze felt by companies like intel. tdfx went public about 5months ago? If that is the case, all the venture capitalists (who hold the most stock)through their influence with market makers (who make big commission)will try to rake in profits(as the model for v.c. dictates) as soon as the restrictions on sale of stock expires (usually 6 months after public).Not surprising if the average investors get sucked into this "tulip mania". hence, for average investor - buy when the price is discounted.
