Make Texas Austin Again

As the UT-Austin scholars note, the Texas grid is more reliable today than it was before all the wind came online. The costs of managing variability have been declining, not rising, as wind booms. Reliability has been improved through market reforms and increased flexibility — not through clinging to baseload. (Wind is pushing coal off the Texas grid.)

Rick Perry’s “review” of the energy grid is just what it looks like: a bid to save coal

The other day the President slobbered praise all over Duterte for his death squad's handling of drug users and peddlers in the Phillipines. I read 9000 mostly small time street users and sellers have been killed on the streets by police there since he took power less than a year ago.

“You are a good man,” Trump told Duterte, according to an official transcript of the April 29 call produced by the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs and obtained by The Intercept. “Keep up the good work,” Trump told Duterte. “You are doing an amazing job.”

“I just wanted to congratulate you because I am hearing of the unbelievable job on the drug problem,” Trump told Duterte at the beginning of their call, according to the document. “Many countries have the problem, we have a problem, but what a great job you are doing and I just wanted to call and tell you that.”

Does Trump people's Trumployalty mean they share their President's enthusiasm for this drug war policy? No trials, no prison costs, just shoot them down on the street. Should we do that here?

Not being a Trumployalist I can just chalk this up to his twisted values. He admires every bloodthirsty dictator and really wants to shoot some people on Fifth Avenue himself.

IMO most SI Trump supporters don't support death squad liquidation of drug users right now, but would if Trump started implementing it here.

What exactly is that classified information and how do you know that?

If said classified information helped the Russians with the war on ISIS then I suspect that Trump was well within his rights to share it. Then again what exactly was it?

Putin shared information about some Chechens with US intelligence and Obama. They chose to let them in anyway and give them a free education. Didn't end well for the Boston marathon did it?
