Namibia Rare Earths (NRE-T) will be demoted to the TSX-V from the TSX at the end of the month. The company had been under listing review by the TSX since December. Mr. Burton, president, was unable to do much about it, with the rare earth market in a continuing bear market. There were no worries about compliance in 2011, when Namibia Rare Earths completed a $28.8-million initial public offering and began touting its promising Lofdal rare earth project in Namibia.

At last report Lofdal held 2.88 million tonnes indicated at 0.32 per cent total rare earth oxides and another 3.28 million tonnes inferred at 0.27 per cent. Fortunately, about three-quarters of the oxides were the pricier heavies, and a 2014 dream sheet credited a proposed 1,500-tonne-per-day mine, which would cost $144-million (U.S.) to build, with a discounted net present value of $147.4-million (U.S.) after taxes.
