Steve, that Feb 18 is the date for the LMDS auction (28 GHz).
I wasn't sure which auction you were referring to.

38 GHz auction keeps getting pushed back. Don't think there's much priority there. Was was talk of it happening last Spring, now sounds like later this year. If I was a betting man, I'd give it about a 95% chance that it won't happen this year. Of course, a lot will depend on how the LMDS auction goes. If the FCC makes a ton of money and there's a lot of interest, they may put more priority on the 38 GHz auction.

Still, the LMDS auction will give us and indication of the value of WinStar's license. We should probably start figuring out the ratio to compare the value of a LMDS license to a 38 GHz license. Bernard gave me some numbers on the CVUS thread if I can make some sense out of them. Somebody else here could probably do better than I.
