This is broker and institutional trading. My guess: rally in anticipation of conference. They're betting that stock will retest low 30s in the short run.

Why no posts to cheer when Ascend bucks the market trend and moves up ? Tells me either that we have many bears (I like that) or that people are still sleeping on the West coast.
The contrarian seems to be winning the day.
Also I heard rumbling from within Ascend employees that Q4 was good and a decent backlog has built up. That should be good food for thought going forward.
