Hi Giuseppe and Bruce (Pancho still in Brasil?), et al: G, I agree with your assessment and would throw in another factor for the delay; i.e., the climate is not too good at this time! -- Asian monetary crisis and corporate jitters here...and also, IMNX is still in the ballgame ahead of CNTO on the arthritis approval (IMO).

So, much to consider. On the other hand, while it may be great to get a partner quickly, like this month, I hope the deal is a GOOD one for CNTO! Further, I'd sure like to know why the previous deal didn't GO!

Anyone privy to that kind of info?

Ciao!

FNS

I'M NOT AWARE THAT ANY COMPANY "PULLED OUT", JUST THAT THEY COULDN'T NEGOTIATE A FINAL DEAL. MAYBE THEY HAD SEVERAL COMPETING OFFERS. IT'S A MOOT POINT UNTIL THE DRUG ( AVAKINE ) IS APPROVED ANYWAY.

<<<If the company that pulled out did so at the last minute it tells me that CNTO may have to start from ground floor talks to reach another partner>>>

What COMPANY pulled out?????
