If Korea follow Japan's past trend, possibility is both stock and currency go down due to lack of foreign investor's interest.

<<<<Meantime, guess I'll just try to get a chart on MAKOX

......i don't pay attention to short term fluctuations--in 2 years the won will be higher and the korean stock market will be higher. when investing in foreign markets you can assume that both the american and the foreign currencies will fluctutate, thus canceling out the changes in the LONG TERM.

......that being said, i think that the u.s. is a strong currency and the won is weak, in 2 years we expect the won to strengthen in relation to the u.s currency. so you get two plays--increased currency and market strength. but in the short term, it is anybody's guess. if you want to be safe wait 3 more months to invest in korea.
