Tidbits from rumor mill:
(1) California Franchise Tax board spending $200Million, paying consultants $150/hr, no vacation till September 98, perhaps no vacation between Jan 99 and Oct 99 (?).
(2) someone at a y2k specialist meeting was advised not to travel too far (airline schedule problems?), especially outside US.
(3) IRS has about 80,000 modules of non-compliant code?
