Angela Merkel gets it. Free ride for Europe is over. “The era in which we could fully rely on others is over to some extent,” Merkel told an election rally in Munich on Sunday. “We Europeans truly have to take our fate into our own hands – naturally in friendship with the United States of America, in friendship with Great Britain, as good neighbors ... But we have to know that we Europeans must fight for our own future and destiny.” This is how it should be. Time to put your big boy pants on and stand like a man (or woman as the case may be). It is way past time we had an American President who put America first. We don't help Europe by enabling them to be freeloaders. There comes a time when a little tough love is required. Thank you President Trump!!!!!!!
