I have no need for things like an internet connected toaster or refrigerator, so I hope future products will not require one or allow the "feature" to be disabled. The opportunity for abuse is massive. I have enough to worry about keeping my computers, smartphone and tablets up-to-date with security patches, I sure don't want to have to worry about my toaster mining Bitcoins for some hacker without my knowledge.
