Liberalism is just bankrupt in all respects. I cannot find redeeming characteristics within it; hell, even you on the Left can't find them. Conservatism at least has the logical underpinnings of fiscal responsibility even if they end up caving to the Left at every turn. Of course, the Left got the artistically creative which is something. I've been watching the quarterfinals of the Van Cliburn competition, and I wonder where some of those great young players stand politically. They might surprise me...
