I'm offended at what the Left has become. I was around, and part of it when I was younger. When it was all about peace and love, pursuit of personal freedom, all that crap, which might have turned out to be a drug-induced hallucination, I suppose. Now, I look around and I see old haters like Graham Nash and Neil Young. Jimi Hendrix was the real thing. He would have walked away from it today, if he'd lived.

Liberalism is just bankrupt in all respects. I cannot find redeeming characteristics within it; hell, even you on the Left can't find them. Conservatism at least has the logical underpinnings of fiscal responsibility even if they end up caving to the Left at every turn. Of course, the Left got the artistically creative which is something.

I've been watching the quarterfinals of the Van Cliburn competition, and I wonder where some of those great young players stand politically. They might surprise me...
